The Alchemy

Some say I changed you, maybe I did

Some say you changed me, maybe you did

but you can’t make something outta nothing

deep in our compositions were the romantics

waiting to be unlocked and shamelessly flourish

Together we’re a cliché, a large diamond ring

A high teen movie with kids at prom dancing

A fairytale with a happily ever after ending

A top forty love song they’ll play at our wedding

A poem, made up of painfully forced rhyming.
